Gay rights activists are now recruiting children as young as eight:
Glenn Beck asked Michele Bachmann about the 8-year-old boy Elijah, who whispered to her at a book signing in South Carolina that his mommy was gay and didn’t need fixing. The boy whispered so quietly that Bachmann asked him to repeat it three times. In the audio you can hear the mom urging him on, but the child’s voice is almost inaudible.
Beck asked Bachmann, “People are using kids to attack you. Obviously the kid doesn’t want to say this . . . How do you navigate in that kind of world where you’re being, I think, set up every time to look like a homophobe. Are you a homophobe?"
Bachmann: "Of course not. I believe that we love all people. I do; I love them. I don’t necessarily agree with them but I love them . . . continually the agenda-driven community wants to climb up on my platform and make their issue my issue and try to paint me as someone that I’m not.”
Bachmann opposes gender-segregated marriage and giving special rights to people based on what they do in their sex lives. “The law needs to apply the same to all people. We have equal protection under the law.”
