Talk about reverse discrimination...
Australia decided married couple and Olympic shooters Russell and Lauryn Mark cannot room together at the 2012 London Olympics. Mark claims they would be able to if they were gay.
Olympic shooter Russell Mark has suggested 'tons' of gay couples will be rooming together at the Olympic Village, while he and his wife sleep in separate apartments.
According to reports this morning, Russell Mark has been officially informed that he will not be able to room with his partner, Lauryn.
"The stupid part of this, which I have argued to them, is that there are tons of gay couples on the Olympic team who will be rooming together, so we are being discriminated against because we are heterosexual," Mark told News Limited.
Huffington Post has more including controversial photo of Lauryn on magazine cover.
Maybe if gays were able to get married they wouldn't be able to room together. Since you always say that gays can't ever get married, and there is clearly a policy against MARRIED couples, I don't really see what you are complaining about.
ReplyDeleteI have always said that people with same-sex attraction are able to marry in all 50 states. There is no sexual orientation question on the marriage license.
DeleteBecause rooms for Olympic athletes are gender-segregated, people with same-sex attraction are able to bunk together. Once again, this shows that this is not just about sexual orientation, it is about gender.
