"Cooper's statement is a reminder to all of us that coming out, no matter how ordinary it may seem to those of us on the other side of it, is still a risk, is still brave, is still courageous, and still matters. Bravo." Jennifer Vanasco
CNN journalist Anderson Cooper recently emailed his friend Andrew Sullivan and confirmed that he has same-sex attraction. Cooper gave permission to Sullivan to post his announcement.
So far, Cooper still has his job reporting at CNN.
Not so for sportscaster Damian Goddard who lost his job for publicly supporting gender-integrated marriage.
Why the double standard?
These days, does it take more courage to come out in favor of pro-gender marriage than to come out as a person with same-sex attraction?
