Why doesn’t this couple have the right to marry?
It’s not because they identify as gay; they don’t. Not because they are heterosexual; that
isn’t required. These two
obviously like each other. Only
good friends would agree to film themselves making out in front of Chick-fil-A
and then post their video on YouTube.
The reason they can’t marry: they are the same gender.
This video proves that “gay marriage” is not about “gays” as
much as it is about gender. Sure, Skyler Stone and his buddy Mike Smith can
kiss, but they still can’t marry.
Their sexual orientation is not what precludes their marriage. The problem is this couple is gender-exclusive. Marriage is about the integration of
genders to provide a mother and a father for children.
These two straight guys advocating for gay marriage don't seem to realize their kiss-in protest actually demonstrates that same-sex marriage is more about gender than sexual attraction.
Segregating genders in marriage is anti-gender.
